5 Years Later…

Happy anniversary… to US!! 5 years, WOW! We can’t believe how quick this time has gone. These 5 years have been so amazing, we can’t wait for another 5 more! Today, we woke up on our own time (which was so nice). Sammi was the first up and went to the buffet and got breakfast and brought back a plate for Dillon. Sammi went up to the pool to lay out and soak up some more sun. After a few hours, Sammi headed back to the room to find her amazingly sweet boyfriend with a surprise!!! Dillon had the room decorated with anniversary decorations and there was a cake waiting for us!
This has definitely been one for the books! I couldn’t be more thankful to have this opportunity to travel with my love!
After enjoying our cake (and yes, we got our cake and ate it too), we started getting ready for our dinner reservations. Tonight, we have a reservation at Moderno, which is a Brazilian specialty restaurant on the ship. We enjoyed our appetizers (sushi and salad bar) and then we flipped our cards to green and here came all these different cooked meats. From filet mignon (regular and bacon wrapped) to pork loin to beef ribs that just melted in your mouth. Throughout dinner, we enjoyed a bottle of Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon (how about that? We traveled from LA to NY to the Bahamas just to enjoy a CA wine) that Norwegian so kindly gave us! At the end of dinner, when our cards were red, and our stomachs were full, the restaurant staff came over with a dessert for us and sang us an anniversary song.
After dinner, we headed to the Spinnaker lounge for the White-Hot Night Party!! With drinks in hand and the party getting started, we ran into Valerie and John. After drinks, PLENTY of dance, and almost breaking the cruise director, Lorena, it was time to hit the hay.
